081 In-House Supervisor, Category II Classification A

Reports to:  Building principal, unless otherwise noted

Work Schedule:  School calendar year only, 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday

Education Required Level:   High school diploma or equivalent and must meet State requirements (ParaPro Exam or a minimum of 60 college credit hours

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and maintain the discipline of students who have been assigned to In-House Suspension Room during the school day.
  • Take students to lunch and supervise them as they eat lunch
  • Keep accurate records of who is in the In-House Suspension Room each day
  • Work with Assistant Principal and Counselors on behavior problems in the room
  • Other supervisory or clerical work will be assigned by the school administrator if no students are assigned to In-House Suspension Room
  • Be responsible for the upkeep of the In-House Suspension Room
  • All other duties and tasks deemed necessary by school administrators

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be Highly Qualified - meet current state requirements (ParaPro Exam or a minimum of 60 college credit hours)
  • Previous experience working with students.  Desire to make a positive difference and be a positive influence in students' lives.  Understanding and experience in an educational setting.  A positive employment history and recommendation from a previous supervisor.

Salary and Benefits

 Payment Type:                  $11.23 per hour
