Basic Responsibilities

  • Exhibit an understanding of Safe Harbor and Club INSPIRE procedures and goals.
  • Participate in Club INSPIRE weekly team planning meetings to address opportunities and concerns.
  • Work with staff to provide an environment that is positive, nurturing, safe and secure.
  • Responsible for classroom and student behavior management.


Specific Duties

  • Work with students one-on-one and in small groups to assist with homework and test
  • Work with staff to provide an environment where students can feel relaxed and have fun while learning.
  • Keep up to date with high school graduation requirements, academic testing schedules, programs and opportunities.
  • Assist staff with sign-in, sign-out and restroom monitoring.
  • Assist in preparation and monitoring of daily snacks and dinner.
  • Assist Site Coordinator in implementing rotation schedule.
  • Provide assistance to Site Coordinator in handing out and explaining program information, i.e., handbooks, newsletters, surveys, schedules, etc.
  • Complete other tasks as requested by the Site Coordinator.



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Previous experience working with students.  Desire to make a positive difference and be a positive influence in student's lives.  Understanding and experience in an educational setting.  A positive employment history and recommendations from a previous supervisor. 
  • Physical ability to engage in the cultivation of student’s academic success.
  • State and local employment requirements: background check, viewing of “Blood Borne Pathogens” video and review of MCAS Blood Borne Pathogens Exposure Plan.

Payment Type:  Salary

Salary Scope:    $9.10 per hour
